Carl Hoffman, webmaster at The 60s’ Official Site sent me another
update…
Forty years ago, July 20th, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrich, and Mike Collins landed on the moon. Check out the Top 5 songs on the day they made history.
The song of the week is from the same week as the countdown. It was a remake of a Coasters song that made #9 on the hit line in 1959. Ray Stevens remade this classic and reached # 27 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Check it out.
If you have read my story about a road trip my friends and I took in 1965 then you know the story also had a soundtrack of music for that summer in 1965. The jukebox is now in shuffle mode for your listening enjoyment. For those who have not read the humorous adventure and haven’t listened to the music here is the link. As a reminder there is more music other than the jukebox pages throughout the site but you must surf through the site and find them.
On a final note, I have added another jukebox. This one is titled About Girls and Guys. This jukebox features songs of girls and guys. Enjoy this one.
Fran, well until next time as always stay cool, stay young and always keep the 60s alive.

PS. It’s kinda fun to listen to those old songs! I’d like to hear what you boomers all think? I think Carl has a cool website!
