Make Money With Affiliate Sales
This article covers #2 of making money online:

Affiliate sell products owned by someone else. It’s much like the
salesmen working on commission for a company except that affiliates
are independent, they are in business for themselves. They do not
actually sell products… their job is to drive sales to the product’s
sales page or website.

This can be compared to the informal recommendations that we all make
every day when we tell our friends about a great meal we had at a
restaurant, the movie we enjoyed, the mechanic who fixed our car at a
reasonable cost.

There’s a big difference though when we decide to recommend products
with the intention of getting a percentage of the sales we facilitate.

In fact there is a whole science about becoming a successful affiliate,
and it can be learned…

Basically there are two starting steps… surprisingly the first one
is not choosing a product we might want to promote, it’s what is often
described as finding a hungry market meaning that there are lots of people looking for this type of product, one example is weight loss. Of course if you begin with a product in mind you would check if there is a market for it. There’s also a need to eliminate ‘hungry’ prospects who don’t have any money to spend…

The second step would be finding a product that seems to fit some of
your requirements: decent affiliate commission, an effective sales letter
to send traffic to, and acceptable competition numbers.

Effective affiliate marketers set up systems that can be repeated for
every product they want to promote… such as creating a review site for each product, driving traffic to that review site with article marketing and blogs they create, possibly pay per click advertising, posting on forums, paid ezine ads.

Much of the above needs much more explaining and I will do that in further articles – I will also post a separate list of free resources.

I believe that in this Internet Marketing arena, being an older person is
an advantage. Many younger people dream of working from home, making a ton of money and being free of the daily grind of working on a job… some are successful at making a good income but many fail at achieving the big dream of living the free lifestyle.

The opportunities are there but it’s not only about methods and strategies, there are personal element involved… attitude and resolve.

Boomers have lived long enough to have gone through many ups and downs, lots of dreams… some realized, others heartbreaking…

Boomers know that strategies and methods can be learned and emulated… systems can be copied, they know that it matters to be able to focus and follow through on a goal you set for yourself, not a dream…
