The third day assignment is to somehow promote that post so I’m
drawing your attention to it…reading those twenty statements,
some humorous, some fatalistic started me thinking that popular wisdom served people well for centuries…from raising children to explaining the mysterious ways of nature.

Without too much input from radio or television, grandma and
grandpa could expect the younger generations to not only pay
attention to their old sayings but also pass them on to their
own children…

As a matter of fact during our last electoral campaign I remember hearing Senator Biden telling anyone who would listen: my
father always said: ‘you fell down…get up again’, and I
imagine his children and grandchildren have heard that and
some other pearls of wisdom over and over again.

How many times do you find yourself repeating some wise
words your grandma, grandpa, mom and dad came up with to
encourage you or console you in stressful or discouraging moments?
