I originally posted this in Killer Joe’s blues thread. I’m reposting it here because this is how I remember Mr. King. The song is Sweet Sixteen and he is performing it in Africa in October 1974 at the time of the Ali/Foreman fight. At the end you will see Ali jump out of his seat.

I remember him this way because, on the other side of the world, just a couple of months later, I saw him in Victoria, B.C. The opening act was Journey, they had just released Kahoutek and didn’t use a singer at that time. After their set Mr. King came on stage and said “Man they really swing” and proceeded to blow us all away.
