People ask me all the time what advice I have for them in regards to their writing. Honestly, most of what I say to them boils down to this:

JUST SIT DOWN AND WRITE.

I wish it were more complicated (or mystical) than that, but it’s not. Writing is an art, but mostly it’s a craft. Which means that almost anyone can do it, if they put in the practice.

You may disagree, but that’s been my experience after coaching writers for over 10 years. I still have LOTS to learn, but that’s where I’m at now.
